Importance Of a Good Result and Score For GATE?

GATE examination is over and the results are awaited. Announcement of GATE results will be made on the official website. Detailed list of the qualifying candidates would be issued along with an individual score card for each student. Who can view GATE Result & Score?
In case of GATE, it is not that only the qualified candidates can see their results. All the candidates who have appeared for the examination can see their scores. GATE score is issued to all those who have taken the exam. However, members of GATE committee are the ones who finally take a call on the qualifying score for each paper in GATE. This score is called as the GATE Cutoff.
There are two types of admission. The admissions to postgraduate programmes in Engineering may be either made directly on basis of GATE results 2020 or on basis of an interview. In case of admissions made through an additional interview, 70% weightage is given to exam results and 30% weightage is given to interview.

Besides IIScs and IITs, GATE results 2020 will also be made available to the interested organizations like educational institutions, research organizations. It is important that candidates prepare hard and obtain high scores in order to secure admission into the desired college and programme.
